Many Internet marketing newbies complain that their sites or blog posts do not get ranked well on Google.
It happens when people do not do enough SEO work.
The underlying reason is they are not consistent and persistent when it comes to SEO.
You see, SEO is not something that you do ‘once and for all’, it is on going and you will be able to get better rankings if you are willing to allocate a little bit of time each day to build links.
Here is a very simple plan that will allow you to get very good results without spending too much time and money.
Write 1 article a day. Article directory submissions provide precious link juice and targeted traffic for your sites. Don’t try and dump a whole bunch of articles at one shot, try and spread it out over a period of time by writing one article a day and submitting them consistently everyday. If you feel that writing one a day is daunting, then try once in two days. After a month, you would have submitted 15-30 articles which will give you good rankings and traffic.
Leverage on Squidoo and Hub Pages. Remember those articles you have written for your article directory submissions? Use them to create a Squidoo lens and a hub page. It will help you save a lot of time if you re-use your articles. Squidoo has a page rank of 8 and it will help your site or blog when it comes to ranking well.
Make sure you bookmark all your posts consistently (write one and bookmark three - it is very simple). If you have installed the ’share this’ plugin for your blog, you will have easy access to a bunch of Social Bookmarking sites that you can easily spread the word. I highly recommend using Digg, Stumble Upon and Propeller (if you are short of time) because these three will give you lots of traffic and authority.
Remember, the key is not to get bogged down with too much work, keep it simple and achievable and as you consistently do a little everyday, you will accomplish a lot at the end of the month (which is more SEO work than what most people do in a year).

Internet marketing promises us time, rewards, fame and freedom. But the biggest danger about the Internet marketing lifestyle is that it will often eat our normal, personal lives.
Here are a few examples of Internet marketing lifestyles that are detrimental to our lives, and what we should do about it:
Neglecting Exercise.
One of the biggest hazards of Internet marketing is that most people spend too much time in front of the computer while neglecting their exercise routines. Although lack of exercise is prevalent in most office jobs, Internet marketing is even more ‘dangerous’ because marketers barely even get up sometimes. They usually have everything they need on their desk or on their computer. At least office personnel get up and gossip at the water cooler… Look at the size of your belly and see your jeans still fit…If you can’t discipline yourself to get in shape (in spite of all the time freedom), by all means, get a personal trainer to enforce discipline. Trust me on this, it is better to pay a personal trainer compared to a doctor.
Eating too much fast food.
This is another big problem. When you are so busy creating products, building blogs and contacting JV partners, what happens when you get hungry? Dominos and McDonalds may seem like a very short term solution but you have to understand that eating proper food with good nutrition will give you more energy and hence, more time in the long run.If you can’t get good food, maybe you can try Bistro MD. Otherwise, make sure you prepare good food in advance so you can heat it up later.
Not meeting people.
Believe it or not, there is a tendency for some people are prone to become socially inept due to a lack of communication with the outside world. You may be a king or queen when it comes to making money online, but when it comes to the real world, nobody gives a jack who you are. Don’t be all ‘high and mighty’ when it comes to dealing with people because we are all human beings after all. Secluding yourself is one of the fastest ways to insanity. Furthermore, being at home all the time does NOT mean that you are spending a lot of time with your loved ones, so don’t use it as an excuse when your spouse throws a tantrum about you not spending enough time with them (compared to your computer).Try and offer to buy people lunch so that you can meet up with them if they are working. You might even get good inspiration or ideas when you get out of your house and meet people. Another solution is to team up with local Internet marketers and do projects together.
